Electrical Engineering is one of the oldest branch from time immemorial. It has gained rapid importance in view of demand.It works in a variety of fields including power sector, machine design, renewable energy sector.The department has well qualified and dedicated faculty.Excellent laboratories have been laid out for the practical instruction of students. These add value to the theoretical instruction gleaned in the lecture halls.The department arranges industrial visits to reputed establishments in and around the state, with a view to integrate academic instructions and practical aspects

  • To impart high quality technical education and training in electrical and electronics engineering on students to help them to become successful in industry or research and serve the society.
  • To facilitate the students to thoroughly appreciate and assimilate the nuances of the discipline with particular accent on empiricism.

Program Education Outcomes (PEOs)
  • PEO-1: The graduate should have a solid foundation of conceptual knowledge in mathematics, sciences and basic engineering and other support courses that are requisites for understanding the core subjects of the curriculum.
  • PEO-2: The graduates should have the professional competency in cutting edge technologies and skills to handle modem tools to solve complex technological problems and become proficient in research, design and development of products, processes and systems as may be required in their career in electrical and electronic engineering in a global scenario.
  • PEO-3: The graduates should be endowed with professionalism, ethical behavior, effective communication skills, and spirit of teamwork, multidisciplinary approach and ability to relate engineering issues to broader social and environmental issues.
  • PEO-4: The graduates should have inbuilt capacity for lifelong learning to keep updated constantly with emerging technologies and tools to create a niche for themselves and the institute attracting high demand for employability an in the area of their choice in industry, in research, in academics or as an entrepreneur.
